WWII Unsilvered Blue Glass Shiny Brite Ornament
WWII Unsilvered Blue Glass Shiny Brite Ornament
These WWII unsilvered ornaments are becoming harder to find, so when we see one out in the wild, we snatch it up. This beautiful Shiny Brite ornament was sitting in a junk box at a local flea market. So clear and pretty, she came home with us. Now she’s waiting for a new home.
Fact: Wartime shortages and restrictions prevented the use of silver nitrate for Christmas ornaments in 1942. Therefore, glass ornaments were manufactured without the shiny look. These restrictions lasted until 1946.
A thoughtful gift for the history buff or veteran this Christmas.🎄
