Buying vintage (for me) is about keeping things circular and giving home to objects that have weathered time and still have stories to tell...This is especially true of art. There is something special about buying a painting that was made decades or even a century ago. It's a glimpse into worlds past and the artists, whether professional or dilettantes, that have passed.
This painting in particular drew me in with its lovely pastoral setting and air of mystery. The woman strolling towards the church is both captivating and mysterious...we don't know who she is or what she's doing, but we want to know more! This piece is going above a vintage dresser on my landing and I cannot wait to show it off!

My shaving mirror with it's ghostly reflection was a Christmas present to me. I love the smoky shadows and history it has brought to my home. The collage is gorgeous and fits in perfectly with my "wall of bird art." It's a standout piece. Also, the artist was communicative and helped me in getting this beauty.
