View CollectionWho doesn't love Williamsburg? This vintage book, Williamsburg Before and After, captures the essence of Williamsburg which flourished during the colonial period, the deterioration when the capitol was moved to Richmond in 1780 and how Williamsburg's past was saved.
Authored by George Yetter, his informative text describes the history succinctly. Old photographs, daguerreotypes, watercolors, sketches and maps capture "pre-restoration" Williamsburg. Lovely color "after" photographs show that the vision and dream has been fulfilled. Includes 116 color photographs, 133 duotones, 14 black and white illustrations.
