Vintage McCall Sewing Pattern and Grey Flannel Fabric (c.1920s)
Vintage McCall Sewing Pattern and Grey Flannel Fabric (c.1920s)
If you appreciate vintage fashion and sewing, our authentic 1929 McCall printed pattern and soft grey flannel fabric are the real deal.
This pattern was used to sew a gentleman's flannel nightshirt back in the day, when just about all clothing was hand sewn. The flannel fabric appears to be brushed cotton, maybe with a hint of wool and is so soft.
Note: This set is personal, as it belonged to my grandmother. As I was clearing out my closets, I realized it was time to let this go. We hope it finds the right buyer - an individual who enjoys sewing, simplicity and history.

Item Condition
Very good used condition. The pattern's envelope shows wear, folds and creases, missing pieces of the labels - all from use. The thin tissue paper pattern has been cut into pieces and used to sew a nightshirt. The pattern pieces include detailed instructions on piecing and sewing. The cotton flannel is about 108" long and 26" wide, showing creases from folding and storage. The ends are frayed and irregular. No holes or tears noted in the fabric; it was wrapped in tissue paper and stored in a plastic bag for many years.
