Vintage Etched Chinese Brass Bowl (c.1900s)

Small but sweet, this old brass bowl was made in China a long time ago. Hand etched on the exterior, the scenes show abstract images of village life and nature.

Examining the bottom, we think it may have previously been attached to a base, showing a very teeny pinhole in the bottom. Still, you'll find a multitude of uses for this vintage beauty, such as spare change, trinkets or holding a small collection from your morning walk.

Item Condition

Good condition consistent with age and use. Surface wear present with marks, pitting, scratches, discoloration plus two pin holes in the bottom of bowl. Sits level on a flat surface, though a bit wobbly. Exterior carvings show verdigris. Minor soil & residue present. Bowl has not been cleaned or polished to protect original patina. Undated, likely mid century.
