A set of five original vintage Boy Scout neckerchiefs have been part of the Scout uniform since the beginning. Our set here includes one of the five kerchiefs for Cub Scouts. Four of them are triangle shaped and the red scarf is a full square.
Generally worn as a ceremonial item, the neckerchief is taught to be a practical wilderness item in the Scouting tradition. The neckerchief, unrolled, is designed to be the perfect size for use as a triangular bandage for first aid.
We’ve all known (or been) a Boy Scout - it was almost a right of passage back in the 20th century. So many memories!

Item Condition
Good vintage condition with wear consistent with age and use. Some fading present especially on the blue kerchief’s fold creases. Worn edges, loose threads present. All appear to have been laundered and carefully folded. Undated but likely from the 1960s and later.
