Vintage Bisque Penny Dolls (c.1920s)
Vintage Bisque Penny Dolls (c.1920s)
Nothing is more charming and delightful to collect than tiny vintage bisque dolls that were mass produced, starting in the late 19th century. Made in various styles and sizes, our set of bisque sweeties are aptly called Penny dolls or Betty Boop dolls.
A bit different from the popular (unmovable) Frozen Charlotte doll, these are chubbier, show off a classic Betty Boop hair style AND have movable joints.
These four cuties were made in Japan, dated to the 1920s-1930s and would be an appealing addition to any collection. Most notable is the larger doll with a hand painted swimsuit or romper, which increases the value and collectibility. All have 'JAPAN' stamped on the backs.
Sweetness overload.
