Rustic Hand Painted Tile Trivet With Bird Motif (c.1900s)

The image almost child-like, our hand painted bird tile trivet is ready for what comes next. With primitive folk art vibes, this little bird will happily hold your mug of coffee or a potted plant. Pretty enough as a stand-alone accessory, you'll find a zillion uses for this old trivet.

Hand crafted all the way around, from the artwork to the brass frame. And yes, the signs of aging add rustic character which we all love. 

Purchased from a retired antique dealer, this mid century relic is unsigned and undated.

Item Condition

GOOD condition with wear consistent with age and use. Overall wear includes surface scratches, discoloration/patina, soil and residue. Absent of cracks or chips. 

Red clay tile appears to be terracotta. Hand painted image of bird in nature, framed in hand crafted brass frame. Glass glaze to top of tile with minor crazing present. Ball feet on bottom of frame. Corners and seams intact.
