Mid Century Student Linoleum Block Art Print 'The Slave'
Mid Century Student Linoleum Block Art Print 'The Slave'
Couldn't load pickup availability
Another original mid century linoleum block print created by 17 yr old high school Charles S. Miglets of Lorain, Ohio. This heartfelt blue print titled 'The Slave' back in the 1950s and was submitted to a national art competition.
This young man had talent. We don't know if he advanced, but he should have. Interestingly, this artwork has 1959 Scholastic Art Awards entry document attached to the back of the print. Pretty cool.
** The Halle Bros Co. Student Art Awards sponsored a series of events for high school students in Cleveland, Ohio. The program included art shows and award ceremonies, with winners from the Halle Bros Co. Department Store exhibit potentially advancing to the national Scholastic Art Awards competition in New York.
