Barro negro is a black clay, found in Oaxaca, Mexico, was used to make pottery. Most of his pieces were not signed or dated, and many of them were decorated by various artists. ( ...and that's why you may see similar pieces with slightly difference designs.)

Very good condition with overall wear consistent with age and use. No cracks or chips notes. External surface is fairly smooth, including the carved designs that's been painted. Internal surface is rough and smells delightfully earthy. Unsigned, undated.
