Wow! There's a lot of kitschy fun loaded into this mid century TV lamp. A relic of Old Florida, this old TV lamp consists of two large abalone shells, other assorted seashells, plus two plastic flamingos mounted into a plaster base. A small electric bulb placed behind a shell illuminates the lamp when plugged in, although it looks FAB unplugged (sans light).
These TV lamps were popular in the 1950s and often sat atop a console TV. Some people used them as nightlights. These seashell lamps were often sold as souvenirs in Florida to vacationers.
The two flamingos add a beachy vibe to your living space.🌴 What a great gift for the beach bum in your life (and we all have one, right??)

- ONE large mid century seashell TV lamp on plaster base (as shown)
Very good condition with minimal wear noted. The assorted sea shells and two plastic flamingos are mounted VERY securely into the marbled plaster base. The small lightbulb is in working condition (image 2 & 3) and be rearranged as needed.
Plaster base has felt pads to prevent scratching surface of TV. Very substantial and heavy. The current lightbulb/cord can be replaced with a newer electrical cord/bulb if desired.
The surface show dust and residue, as expected, but can be easily cleaned with a dry paint brush.
