Majolica Leaf Dish with Acorns (c.19th C)
Majolica Leaf Dish with Acorns (c.19th C)
This majestic majolica leaf dish is a beautiful, timeless piece of 19th century English pottery. Its artfully-arranged acorns evokes the changing of the seasons in an elegant, sophisticated style.
Ideal for adding a touch of rustica to your space, she can hold nibbles, display your foraged bounty from a walk in the woods or just be part of the family.
Quite similar to majolica from Griffin Smith & Hill in the 1880s, she's unmarked so we hesitate to identify a maker. Be assured she's really an old gal, not a reproduction.
