View CollectionLife was a lot simpler back then, when my grandparents grew their own food. They spent many hours in their garden planting, weeding and watering. When sustainable living wasn't chic.
The gardening tools they used were modest and dependable. Just like our rustic galvanized watering can, humble, sturdy, undeniable quality.
We can think of lots of uses for this old girl. Fill it with fresh cut flowers or dried branches. Add to a seasonal display (think pumpkins and mums). Or simply water your garden, like our grandparents did.
See for yourself.

Good condition; wear consistent with age and use. She has some miles on her, but wouldn't any watering can over 60 years old? Dings and dents, oxidation, areas of rust, overall soil and residue. Bail handle securely attached with wooden grip. Copper spout shows wear and verdigris. Sits flat. Lovely patina. Dated to the mid 20th century. Unmarked.
