View CollectionYou can own a piece of true Americana with our antique redware loaf dish. An estate sale treasure, our hard to-find clay pottery dish is likely of Pennsylvania origin, dated back to the early to mid 19th century.
This large rectangular reddish brown dish features canted sides, a coggled edge and a decorated interior of yellow slip in a foliate motif. The strong color contrast is spectacular for a piece this old. Because of the clear lead glaze, used in the 1800s, this bowl should not be used to serve food.
Large and primitive, this old hand crafted bowl will be cherished for generations to come.
