Antique Blue Transferware Covered Serving Dish (1800s)
Antique Blue Transferware Covered Serving Dish (1800s)
Give everything from mashed potatoes to homegrown green beans the vintage treatment with our antique blue transferware dish from France. Not only does it have plenty of room, but it's also the perfect way to give your side dish a grand entrance. This classic blue transferware is versatile enough to pair with tablescapes of all kinds.
Purchased from estate sale, this antique stoneware set showcases on array of bright blue blooms and flumes surrounding the lovely pastoral scene inside the serving dish. The fancy handles and footed base give character and French charm. This set is not marked with maker, but does have a '3' stamped on the bottom. Dated to the late 1800s to early 1900s.
As you might expect, this set has it's share of small imperfections. (see detailed info listed below.) We recommend hand washing and drying carefully; use for food serving but do not place in oven. Better yet, add to your grand display of antique and vintage transferware!
