You might want to form your own band with our five vintage mercury glass horn ornaments! (a very small band) This set of vintage horn or trombone ornaments were mouth blown back in the '30s - or perhaps earlier.
Originally, these all of little beauties did NOT have an end cap and hanging wire to hang on a Christmas tree. Nope! Many were produced with a cardboard insert to blow through - plus a thin brass topper in the large bell opening of the horn - so children could make music! (see last image) And the white glittered horn actually makes a sound when blown gently. 🎶
Of course, over the years most horn ornaments have lost this delicate part due to corrosion and no longer produce sound. So, end caps and wires were inserted to hang from a tree.

- FIVE vintage blown glass horn or trumpet ornaments in different colors (as shown)
Good vintage condition consistent with age and use. All pieces show surface wear, paint loss, scuffs, marks, and residue. A few minor chips exist along the edges on most. The green horns shows signs of repair around the bell end. Three of the ornaments have the tiny metal plate in the opening that originally played a tune when blown. Very fragile.
End caps present on three horns, though likely not the originals. (one says JAPAN and one says GERMANY) Many of these old glass horns did NOT have end caps, but instead had a cardboard insert placed to blow the horn. So interesting!!
