Deposit your extra coins the old-fashioned way with this vintage cast iron elephant bank! This charming green elephant (c.1920s) is sure to make you smile, and it’s an energetic addition to any decor. Money-savings never looked so cute!

This bank was made for children in the 1920s-1930s, but who says the kids get it? She'd be right at home nestled on you bookshelf or in the kitchen.

Called a howdah elephant, it carries the ancient throne on his back allowing 1-2 people to ride in style. Here, the howdah is actually the coin slot where children (or whoever) can save their pennies. Note the screw on the side to open the bank and retrieve the coins (though the screw was not tested).

This bank was made by the AC Williams Company which manufactured numerous cast iron toys and banks until 1938 when they closed.
