Our primitive Ransburg hand painted cookie jar definitely has the 1940s vibe. Can't you see it sitting on the kitchen counter waiting for fresh baked cookies to come out of the oven?
Made by the UHL Pottery Company, it was then decorated at the Ransburg Company in Indianapolis, IN. The lid is gone but its usefulness remains. Made of real stoneware, you know it's durable. From humble beginnings, it assuredly had 'many hands in the cookie jar' over the years.
It's just the right size for holding kitchen utensils, a bouquet of fresh flowers or anything you dream up.

Item Condition
Good used condition. The black base paint is chippy with various areas of missing paint, scratches, nicks and dings. The painted flowers are textural and also show chips and missing paint. There is soil and residue overall and has not been cleaned to protect the original patina of old age. The lid is missing. It has the Ransburg paint mark incised on the bottom. The interior is glazed white.
