Mid Century Sascha Brastoff Atomic Ashtray (c.1950s)

This wonderful piece of signed art pottery is from California artist Sascha Brastoff. The ashtray features a folded edge that is hand-painted with a grey and green palette and 24k dots and feathers on a bird of paradise. This iconic 'jewel bird' piece is signed above the wing and marked with the well-known rooster logo and “F-6-A” on the underside.

Sascha ran his studio from 1953 to 1973 and he passed away in 1993.
