Layers of hand cut vintage paper from old books, garden catalogues and other ephemera create a one-of-a-kind framed abstract artwork for your home or office.
Titled 'Abundance' based on the earthy tones and spring blooms, it's a poetry of colors, angles and movement. The collage is adhered to a piece of handmade 100% cotton paper from Fabulous Fancy Pants, and the deckled edge adds another dimension of soft texture.
Every collage made is unique and different. Yours is signed and dated, place in thin black plastic frame, then carefully wrapped for protection and shipped in a rigid mailing envelope.
Inspiration
Inspired by stacks of discarded old books and papers with interesting text, images, graphics and history, old books are deconstructed, then bits and pieces are hand cut and sorted by color. I'll experiment with the design until I create an aesthetically pleasing arrangement. I'll let it rest for a few days, then return and adjust the design if needed. Oftentimes, ink, pencil and thread are added to provide additional interest and texture.
