Antique Silver Serving Spoons Set (c.1800s)

The three matching serving spoons are coin grade silver marked 'Stodder and Frobisher,' from the Acanthus pattern, with fiddle handle and chamfered shoulders and engraved with the initials 'MBS' or 'MB.'

This silver maker (Stodder and Frobisher) was located in Boston and these pieces date from 1815-1825. The serving spoons are also marked 6-8, 10-12, 11-12. (ONE of these serving spoons sold for $222 on eBay!)

The gravy or sauce ladle is also made by Stodder and Frobisher in the same pattern as mentioned above.

The fifth serving spoon is marked 'Community Silver Triple Plate' and engraved with the letter 'D'' on the handle.

Lastly, the formal and ornate shell spoon or berry spoon is marked 'Wm Rogers & Son AA' is a heavy and substantial silver plate in good condition in a sunflower themed pattern.
