With an Art Nouveau vibe, our bronze colored repousse metal box was made by the Jennings Brothers around 1900. This style of footed box was used to store cigarettes back in the day. But today? The perfect size to stash away matches, jewelry, stamps, odd and ends.
Features a removable interior liner that appears similar to bakelite. The inside of the lid has four screws in which the liner can be removed. (pretty cool!) It is marked with 'JB' on the bottom - the known signature of the Jennings Brothers.
The fact that it's so old .. well, that makes it all the more special.

Item Condition
Very good condition considering age. There is surface wear with various markings, discoloration and darkening. The lid hinge works smoothly. The interior removable liner is practical and easy to clean. Legs are level. Has not been cleaned or polished to protect original patina.
