Framed Oil Painting of Mediterranean Village (c.1920s)

Appears to be signed "A. Colucci" in lower left corner, and others have thought is is possibly an early painting by Amleto Colucci, born in Naples in 1953 who is known for his seascapes. However, I contacted Amletto Colucci and he said this painting is not his .. it was done by his grandfather Hamlet Colucci!! (it is actually signed H. Colucci) This important fact dates the painting to the 1920s -1930s.

Painting is discolored/yellowed and there are areas of paint loss near the original wooden frame. Can be cleaned and restored, or displayed with the original patina!
