Vintage Hand Painted Blown Glass Ornaments (c.1940s)
Rush Creek Vintage
Sorry, this item has SOLD
Deck the halls with a trio of hand painted, mouth blown ornaments. This pretty little glass set is unsilvered with a wash of bluish-silver paint. On top of that is a festive hand painted garland of bits and bobs in fuchsia, blue and white.
This set is dated to the late 1940s according the previous owner. The original metal caps and glass necks are darkened, as expected. The caps have a marking which is illegible.
Petite in size, they'd be perfect for a tabletop tree, wreath or added to any of your your holiday displays.
- 3 vintage mouth blown glass ornaments, decorated by hand with original cap and wire (as shown)
Good vintage condition with wear consistent with age and use. Fragile by nature, they all include the original metal cap and wire. Mouth blown with a pontil mark on each bottom where they were broken off from the pipe. One ornament has a small area of paint loss (see last photo). Areas of surface soil and residue present. Ornaments have not been cleaned to protect the original finish. Use caution; avoid water or soap which may remove the finish. A dry paint brush can remove surface dust.
