We can't quite put our finger on what makes this old Persian bowl so appealing. It could be the fact that it's not perfectly round due to the hand crafted origin. Then there's the irregular texture that comes with hammering tin over copper. And checkout the intricate engraving on the side of the bowl. A beautiful piece of original Islamic art.
Fill with fruit or pine cones or bits and bobs. It's a bowl for all seasons. You know we love rustic old stuff, especially when they are truly one of a kind. We hope you do, too!
Purchased at estate sale, this beauty was made in Persia and has the original import sticker on bottom. To maintain original patina bowl has not been cleaned.

Good vintage condition with overall wear consistent with age and use. Slightly irregular surface and shape. Hand crafted engraved design on both sides of bowl. Includes import sticker and marked Iran (Persia) in the bottom. Dated to the early-mid 1900s.
Hammered tin over copper, a short welded foot and the beautiful patina of age makes it a keeper!
