This little black letter holder served its owners for many years (back before junk mail hit the modern age). We love the hand painted landscape scene on the from - looks like a quaint homestead with people, trees and crops. Simple life.
Dated to the early 20th century, and looking for a new desk to call home for another 100 years.

Very good condition with wear consistent with age and use. Crafted from lightweight wood and painted an old matte black. Hand decorated landscape scene in a faded gold adorns the front. Sits easily on a desk or table. Small feet in the bottom. Overall surface wear, scuffs, dust & residue present. A few minor areas of edge wear and paint loss. Dated to the early 1900s.
